RECRUITMENT SUPPORT

The Problem and how to solve it.

Having the right people in the team is absolutely essential for long term success and recruiting the wrong people can be the catalyst for disaster.  The cost of recruiting affects us where it hurts most, in time and money — the two things that we are nearly always short of.

When we look to grow a team or to replace an existing team member there are two essential elements required by the ideal candidate.  The first is their learned skill or competency to be able to successfully complete their task and job description.  We validate this via qualifications, certificates and reference checks. This task is relatively easy.  The second element is their innate ability to be able to do the job day after day and more importantly to enjoy it and be a productive team member. This is successful Employee Engagement - where the employee loves their job and the company wins. This is where we come in. We would like to guide you in finding this perfect flow.

What is the Contribution Identifier?

The Contribution Identifier is a FREE tool that helps you to discover who your team needs for a specific role. Built upon the same foundation as the Contribution Compass Profiler, the Contribution Identifier is an online assessment tool that guides you through the 24 areas of role contribution. This journey aims to support you to clarify the contribution a current or new role should provide to your team or organisation. Access the Contribution identifier.

Enhance your recruitment process.

Understanding an individual’s area of maximum contribution enables us to quickly establish if the applicant and the role are a ‘fit’. Often we can focus on an individual’s background and skill set, however they are not the whole story. Two chartered accountants who are both well qualified and have great experience are not necessarily the same. One of them may be more inclined to a new environment that requires systems and processes to be established for the first time, whereas the other is much better suited to a role in which she will be leading a finance team.

Neither is better or worse that the other, they are just different in the contribution that they can offer to your team. If you do not identify this in the recruitment process you could end up with the wrong person in the role. And we know who the organisation blames when that happens.

Understanding the area of maximum contribution required from a role and ensuring the right person is in the role applies to every position in your company. Once we’ve helped you identify the right profile for a position we can assist you with

  • Using the right marketing language that will attract the desired profile
  • Completing a Contribution Profiler once you have a short-list of candidates
